My name is Eve Spencer. I live in Wellington, New Zealand. I was born in England in 1939 and trained as a Primary School teacher. In 1966 I married a New Zealander and came to live here. We have two children, both girls. I did not teach here but had various part time work. The work I loved best was caring for elderly and disabled people, especially people with Alzheimer's disease, in their own homes. I found I had a rapport with them and could make their last years a little brighter.
In 1997 my husband and I were involved in an incident where a young man went berserk and started shooting everyone at a private function. We were two of the few survivors. After this event I found my paintings changed and they became more meaningful. They conveyed messages of an inspirational nature which were sometimes in the form of poetry and sometimes prose. Previously I had taken a few painting lessons and was lucky enough to have an art therapist as my teacher. She was able to encourage my unusual way of painting.
Later I learnt Indian Head Massage and realised that I could combine my intuitive art interpretation skills with components of the head and shoulder massage to form an effective module. I have been offering this at various Psychic and Spiritual Fairs.
